The quickest steps to getting started in the wholesale or closeouts businessGetting started. I've been involved in every area of the wholesale, closeouts business for well over 5 years and have learned the "ropes" of successful drop shipping since about 3 years ago. Pay close attention to these simple steps I give you here. Ok I'm going to tell you the exact steps I recommend you take to get started. Trust me, I AM NOT here to try and dazzle you with my vast knowledge or expertise nor am I going to try and tell you what I think you want to hear. I'm interested in giving you a fair, realistic chance of getting started which means I'm going to tell you what you need to know. If you choose not to listen or follow my steps, or if you think I'm totally full of crap....that's your business. I've been at this for years and I know, generally and specifically, what works and what doesn't and I know without a shadow of a doubt that if you listen to what I have to say, you WILL save time money and alot of headache and heartaches. I've sold ALL kinds of stuff online and offline from general stuff to some real oddities. I owned a web hosting and commercial web design business for just around 3 years so I also have extensive background there. First. If you are in some crazy hurry to generate some fast overnight income because you are in a financial jam or ready to quit your job tomorrow. STOP NOW. There is no such thing online or offline as a "quick" business you can get into to earn huge amounts of income overnight or even tiny amounts for that matter. Anything that promises that IS A RIP OFF, SCAM. No buts about it. Read that sentence again and again if you have to. If you still choose to go blow your money on some stupid scheme...don't even think about coming back and trying to blame me for it. Need some quick money now? Ask your boss to let you work some overtime. Don't have a job right now and the bills are piling up? Pause right here.....get out and find yourself a job...ANY job to get your income flowing back in and then come back this evening and pick this back up where you left off. Now that I have that out of the way. You are going to need a little money just incase but not as much as you think. More importantly, you will need a bit of time, patience and cautious optimism. Ok. What business should you get into? Here are all the "get going" choices you have in no particular order to give yourself and idea of what business you prefer to get into or start with first. ----------------- 2.Brokering which means you are setting up deals to buy from one company (most of the time in bulk) and reselling the merchandise to another company or maybe and individual adding in a markup. 3.Flea Market or swap meet sales. This one kind of speaks for itself but you are buying your merchandise and then reselling it at these particular locations. Advertisement is not a huge factor because when you set up a booth, the people already know why they are there. 4.Garage Sales, Yard Sales or Warehouse sales. This is where you buy your own merchandise, (normally the pallet and mix loads of returns and closeouts work best here) and you advertise the type of sale you are having and people in general come to see what you have. 5. Straight Selling. This is
where you buy a load of stuff, maybe mixed or many of the same thing and run a small ad in
the newspaper classified or trade papers, penny savers, etc. You can put one item for sale
and wait for someone to buy. Then the ad just keeps working until you have sold all of the
item you have. Of course, no one else has to know you have more than one. Seeming to have
just one of something always makes people more interested and motivated to buy. It's the
scarcity complex. This trick actually works on ebay as well. I can tell you right now. Unless you have been at this for a while....skip #2 because that's more for the experienced folks and there is a lot more risk there. Well...that may seem almost too simple for you but you have to chose one of these as your starting point.
